Ma munka utan mentem a Daniellaert az oviba es megdobbenesemre, le volt zarva az utca ami az ovihoz vezet. A sarkon allt egy rendorauto, nem messzire az utcaban pedig vagy 5-6 rendor jol beoltozve, fegyverrel a kezukben tamadasra keszen alltak az egyik haz elott. Szerencsere korbe tudtam menni es odaertem az ovihoz. A Waverley iskolanal egy rendor a szuloknek tartott ertesitot, magyarazta, hogy a gyerekek be vannak zarva az iskolaba, es buszokkal fogjak oket valahova vinni. Tovabb nem hallgattam, mentem tovabb a Daniellaert. Az oviban mindenki egy terembe volt osszeterelve. Mint megtudtam egy ferfi, fejszevel fenyegetett meg rendoroket a Waverley iskola parkolojaban, meg 2 ora korul, ezert lezartak az iskolat es az ovodat ami a kozeleben volt. Ez itt a szokas mostmar. Az iskolaban gyakoroljak a gyerekek, hogy mit kell csinalni ha tuz van, mit kell csinalni ha tornado jon, es mit kell csinalni, ha valami mas veszely van, mint peldaul, ha valaki puskaval megy be az iskolaba. Mivel ez elofordult egy parszor az USA-ban, meg itt kanadaban is, igy ez a norma.

Today after work, I went to pick up Daniella at daycare and found the street closed that I normally take. There were police cars, and squad team with guns further down on the street, in front of a house. As a result, they locked down Waverly drive school. I could go around and heard police were explaining parents that the kids were locked inside for safety, and they will get them on buses and transport them somewhere else, where the parents can get them. Away from the school. I got to Daniella's daycare, where they all had to stay inside and gather in one room.
Apparently a man was threatening police earlier in Waverley drive school parking lot with an axe and that's what caused the standoff. As a precaution, they locked down the school and the daycare that was close by. Looks like this is getting pretty common here. The kids practice fire drills, tornado drills, and school lock-down drills now anticipating all kinds of disasters.
